The USA, State department has warned its citizens against trips to Nigeria.
It says the country is said to be a breeding ground for rape, car-jacking, kidnapping and terrorism.
These acts are sometimes targeted to foreigners in order to extort them in the form of ransom.
In its website, USA State department put out a warning post, marking three states in Nigeria as danger zones. These States are Yobe, Borno and Adamawa.
These three States were put on a level 4 travel alert as there seem to be indiscriminate civil unrest in these regions.
In its post, the department warned her citizens against travelling to Nigeria and to exercise extreme caution when moving around.
With violent acts ranging from kidnapping, rape, terrorism, car-jacking, police brutality.
The entire country is unsafe for her citizens to travel to especially the North-East.
Kidnapping and oil bunkering in the South South regions of Nigeria (Delta and Rivers.
Boko-Haram terrorists in the North-East regions (Borno, Yobe, Adamawa and some regions of Zamfara).
